This seminar serves as an introduction to the equipment and is ideal for yacht owners, as well as recreational and charter skippers, who have discovered a new passion for sailing and wish to navigate safely through their sailing areas using electronic navigation.
To ensure maximum practical relevance, one unit per person is provided: the Raymarine Axiom.
VHF Radio Refresher Seminar
This seminar uses genuine VHF radio sets, with one set per participant. All switches and functions are explained in detail. The sets are networked together, enabling the simulation of realistic communication scenarios, such as those encountered at sea.
Participants will practise routine, safety, urgency and emergency communications.
Radar Seminar
Several original Raymarine Axiom multifunction displays are available for this seminar.
The following topics will be practised using the equipment, including: powering on and interpreting the display; VRM/EBL; auto gain/tuning; wake; Doppler; guard zone; collision avoidance; navigation; radar overlay; and position fixing using radar.
