At the Cordless Water Craft Challenge, high school students and apprentices build their own watercraft right on the fairgrounds during Interboot. Their only source of power: a cordless screwdriver.
From the first component to the maiden voyage, a wide variety of extraordinary designs take shape within just a few days, competing against one another on the fairgrounds lake on the Sunday of the fair. Entries are judged on both their craftsmanship and technical execution, as well as their performance on the water.
